Samini And Stonebwoy Clash On Twitter Over GH Artistes Inability To Win Grammys Like Nigerians (See Posts)

Two of Ghana’s dancehall heavyweights, Samini and Stonebwoy have taken to Twitter in what appeared like a banter over the recent Grammy Awards.

Following Burna Boy and WizKid’s award at the recent Grammys, Stonebwoy took to Twitter to ask everyone to congratulate the Nigerians for representing the whole continent.

Samini however was of the assertion that Ghanaian artistes, just like the Nigerians, could also win at the global awards scheme only if they were honest and stop disrespecting legends.

Stonebwoy came back to react to Samini’s reply and said he did not mean to disrespect anyone with his tweet.

Samini jumped on this and handed it to the Baafira singer by saying he for one was disrespectful to him and even called him a sellout in public.

Stonebwoy however said he did not want to engage in any banter with Samini following the latter’s recent beef with fellow dancehall act Shatta Wale.

Samini also said he was disappointed that Stonebwoy who he considered like his son could speak back to him on social media.

Stonebwoy’s tweet which led to the banter followed the sterling performance of Nigerian acts Burna Boy and WizKid who won big on the night.

No Ghanaian Musician Has Made $1 Million From Music – Fantana Speaks In Video (Watch)

Former Ruff Town Records signee, Fantana, has indicated in a new video that no Ghanaian musician can say he or she has made $1 million from music.

She however indicated that it was possible for some top stars like Shatta Wale and Sarkodie to say they have made such an amount but the new faces in music cannot make such claims.

Even with the top stars, Fantana indicated that they can make that much from international deals and moves and not from making music just for the Ghanaian market.

She revealed that Ghanaian artistes can only survive in the music industry if they become business-minded.

WATCH VIDEO BELOW: Forward to the 6th minute:

Fantana spoke on a myriad of things including her relationship with her mother who is a Member of Parliament to the number of cars she owns.

The Girls Hate On Girls singer was recently in the news when she spoke about her time after leaving Bullet-run Ruff Town Records.

Award-winning Ghanaian sports journalist, Gary AL-Smith has given some golden advice to Ghanaian artistes who dream of winning Grammys.

According to him, the two most important aspects that Ghanaian artistes need to focus on are branding and networking or connections.

He indicated that this is the secret of the Nigerian acts who are winning some of these top awards.

Gary Al-Smith gave the typical example of Ghana’s very own Rocky Dawuni who used his branding and networking outside Ghana to gain worldwide prominence and recognition.

SEE POST BELOW:

The celebrated sports journo also cited the Nigerian examples of Burna Boy and Wizkid who have all seen the light and doing things the right way.

Gary Al-Smith however acknowledged the fact that the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie have contributed and are still contributing their quotas to taking Ghanaian craft to the rest of the world.

The Bible Is Just Like Any Ordinary Story Book And I Don’t Believe In Jesus – Rapper Agbeshie Says In Video (Watch)

Rapper Agbeshie known in real life as Frank Agbeshie Lawstand has said he does not believe in the existence of Jesus Christ or the Bible.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with Zionfelix, and spotted by frimprinceproductions, the rapper said he was not fond of going to church and that the Bible was just like any normal story book.

“I know there is God but not Jesus Christ. I only know that somebody created me which is spirit”, Agbeshie said.

He said he does not remember the last time he visited any church to worship with them but acknowledged the existence of a creator.

The singer said his music craft was only meant to entertain and not influence the kind of lives that people decided to lead.

He went on to say that his hit song “Wrowroho” was in no way asking people to go naked but rather a way of asking people to always stand for the truth.

Agbeshie then decided to take a context from the Bible to buttress his point but Zionfelix reminded him of his stance of not believing in the efficacy of the book considered by Christians to be holy.
