Award-winning Singer Akwaboah Wows Music Lovers With New Song “Ensesa” (Watch Video)

Award-winning Ghanaian singer-songwriter Akwaboah known in real life as Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr. has released “Ensesa”, the first single off the much anticipated “Lighthouse” album.


“Ensesa” which translates as ‘Do not change’ is a love song rooted in Highlife, a Genre associated with Ghana. The song also has elements of Afro-Soul and both Genres are held together with a beautiful Saxophone rendition.

The lyrics and composition of “Ensesa” speak to the timelessness of love, a mood that is captured through the music video was released on Friday, June 11, 2021.

The music video for Ensesa pays homage to the family sitcoms from the 80’s and 90’s and features Akwaboah as the object of interest of the Adusei family, particularly mother and daughter.

“Lighthouse” is the first major project for Akwaboah since he produced the critically acclaimed “Mary” album for Sarkodie and followed with his own ‘Matters of the Heart’ Album in 2018.

Veteran Kumawood Actor Agya Manu Is Dead (See Details)

Veteran Ghanaian actor Agya Manu has reportedly passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

The actor who is a popular figure in the Kumawood industry passed away after a short illness related to diabetes and high blood pressure.

According to a number of reports, Agya Manu was admitted to a hospital on Monday, June 14, 2021.

Agya Manu was a regular actor in Kumawood movies and played myriad roles in local sitcoms.

He, however, could not make it and passed away earlier on Tuesday.

It is not known what got Agya Manu admitted at the hospital but he is reported to have suffered from diabetes and and high blood pressure.

Agya Manu starred alongside some of the industry favorites including Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win), Akrobeto, Nana Ama McBrown, Emelia Brobbey, Kwaku Manu, Ellen Kyei White, and the like.

Current Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of The Year, Kuami Eugene known in real life as Eugene Marfo, has said that it won’t be news if he is adjudged Artiste of The Year again at this year’s VGMAs.

In an exclusive interview with Joy News the Oen Gate crooner who was confident of his chancs spoke highly of his craft and upcoming awards cermony.

Kuami Eugene said it would not be news to many should he be retained as Artiste of The Year at the VGMAs which is set to take place.

The young musician added that most of the songs that Ghanaians were jamming to currently had the Kuami Eugene touch to them.

He stated further that he had played a number of big shows despite the prevalence of the freaded COVID-19 which has plagued the whole world.

The musician added that his ratings as a musician had gone through the roof since he was topping music charts all over the place.

He touched on the God factor and said he would give thanks to God should the award come to him because he knows he deserves it.

“It won’t be much of a news because most of the songs you are enjoying has the Kuami Eugene effect on it….My numbers are growing everyday and I am topping charts,” Eugene said.

He however indicated that he would be okay with the fact that he misses the award and it goes to another artiste because according to him, whoever would win the Artiste of The Year category worked hard for it in the year under review.

Kuami Eugene has been nominated in several categories in this year’s VGMAs.

Video Pops Up Online As Shatta Wale And Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo Make Peace After Their Clash (Watch)

Shatta Wale and entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo have made peace following their fierce clash on national television on Saturday, during McBrown’s United Showbiz programme.

In a new video sighted by frimprinceproductions.co.uk, the Ayoo hitmaker and Arnold were made to patch up and were seen beaming with smiles after the show.

The duo was seen sharing some words and were even goofing around on the set of the United Showbiz programme.

At one point in the new video, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo was seen playfully fixing a clutched fist on Shatta Wale’s face as they made peace and shook each other.

The duo was the topic on the night as they clashed fiercely after Shatta Wale did not take kindly to words used by Arnold while making a point.

They engaged in a war of words as they attacked each other trying to assert their authority on the show.

Shatta Wale indicated that he was richer than Arnold and that he owned many houses while the entertainment pundit was yet to boast of a single house to call his own.

Dancehall star Shatta Wale has proven that he is indeed one of the richest artistes in Ghana after he sprayed notes of dollars on show host and actress Nana Ama McBrown on the United Showbiz programme.

As he sat comfortably in his seat, Nana Ama McBrown started singing the praises of the dancehall artiste and he indicated that he wanted to show off.

Even before she could finish making his statement, Shatta Wale requested for some dollars and specially asked to be given 500 dollars.

When the money came, Shatta Wale got off his seat and walked toward the host of United Showbiz, McBrown.

When he got there, he started spraying the cash on her and was seen putting the money on the chest of the actress.

The dancehall star was seen in the video laughing out as he showered the money on the veteran actress which got her also laughing.

Shatta Wale was seen throwing the cash on McBrown’s ‘melons’ – an action she said was being done on purpose by the Taking Over hitmaker.

The multiple award-winning dancehall star appeared on the show with showbiz pundits Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, Halifax Ansah Addo and movie maker Kofi Asamoah famed as Kofas.
