Dancehall Artiste Shatta Wale Finally Apologizes For Insulting #FixTheCountry Protesters (See Post)

Outspoken Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, famed as Shatta Wale, has rendered an unqualified apology to his fans and followers over his #FixTheCountry rants on Facebook.

In a Facebook post sighted by Frimprinceproductions, the Freedom hitmaker indicated that he was feeling remorseful over his rants and took the opportunity to speak to his fans over his rather harsh words and asked them to look forward to greater things from him.

Shatta Wale said he had been counselled and he realised his mistakes and was now apologizing to all those who felt offended by his series of ‘anti-FixTheCountry’ posts.

Shatta said Abass Sariki Giwa1 who was like a father to him spoke to him and he took his words to heart which led to his recent apology.

Shatta Wale’s apology on social media platform Facebook read: “Today My Godfather Abass Sariki GIWA 1 has spoken to me like a father and son and I have taken his lovely advice. I will like to once again say sorry to the fans that never got to watch my LIVE video, I love you all and get ready for “the Journey ahead”.

It would be recalled that the dancehall artiste, some days ago, released a series of scathing words on protesters in the country especially those sympathizing with #FixTheCountry conveners.

The dancehall artiste called such people “uneducated graduates and cheap thinkers”.

He further went on to call on them to rather fix themselves instead of championing the cause for leaders to fix the country. Shatta Wale was of the view that the citizenry should push for leaders to do better.

The musician’s comments did not however go down well with the Ghanaian populace who met him with backlash and criticism.

Ghanaian musician and Lynx Entertainment signee Dennis Nana Dwamena known by the stage name Kidi has opened up on why he was seen walking out of the auditorium during the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

While speaking in an interview with Joy News’ MzGee, Kidi said that he did not have any bad intentions for anyone when he decided o leave the event by walking out of the auditorium.

The Enjoyment hitmaker said that he was expecting to win the last category of the night which is the coveted Artiste of the Year award.

He then said when the winner was announced and it was not him, he was disappointed for not winning the ultimate award on the night.

Kidi said having won a number of categories, his confidence was high but all that was relegated when he was pipped by Diana Hamilton to the accolade.

He said his disappointment was also doubled by how deputy tourism minister Mark Okraku Mantey teased him with his “Did Kidi say he will be back?” question while announcing the ultimate winner.

Kidi was caught on camera walking out of the VGMA event after Diana Hamilton was announced winner of the Artiste of the Year category.

Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has waded into the recent saga involving dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah famed as Shatta Wale’s comments on #FixTheCountry protests.

Arnold took to social media to share a photo of an old man enjoying a lollipop and indicated that many people had tagged him following Wale’s rants online.

He indicated that his earlier comment on UTV’s United Showbiz about the Ayoo hitmaker being confused and inconsistent was true.

He jokingly said he was ready to forgive anyone who criticised him over the comments he made because they were a true reflection of his personality.

Arnold captioned his post: “HA!I woke up to many tags – plenty!Apparently, Champ has been posting in a very confused and inconsistent manner😂Pls, if you ever insulted me for saying the truth, come and apologize bokoor. I will forgive you 7×77 times🤣🤣🤣#Hw3

Many friends and followers of the entertainment pundit took to the comment section to say he had been vindicated for his comments.

Arnold’s reaction comes after Shatta Wale took to Facebook to lambast protesters in the country who are up in arms following some deaths in Ejura, Ashanti region.

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in the world of showbiz as Shatta Wale has dropped a heavy bombshell on protesters in the country following recent unfortunate incident in Ejura, Ashanti region.

In a number of Facebook posts sighted by Frimprinceproductions, the Ayoo crooner called out the protesters in the country and tagged them as uneducated and disappointed graduates.

His posts followed a recent attack on protestors in Ejura following the death of one Ibrahim Mohammed which was caused by a mob attack.

His death also led to the death of 2 other young men in the town and caused several injuries after the military personnel dispatched to the area fired into the crowd in a bid to disperse them.

Shatta Wale, in reacting to the incident, asked the protesters of #FixTheCountry to focus on fixing themselves instead of calling for change in the country.

He wrote: “Educated fools and disappointmented graduates saying #Fixthecountry. Fix yourself cheap thinkers”

In another Facebook post, Shatta Wale indicated that it was not right for people to go out and fight because we did not want any form of unrest in the country.

He said instead of asking for the country to be fixed, Ghanaians should rather ask the leaders to do better.

A burgeoning evangelist and gospel act, Evangelist Michael Antwi has reportedly accused Kuami Eugene and Kwame Yogot of song ‘theft’ in reference to their viral Biibi Besi song.

The song which was released by the Kwame Yogot in February 2021, featuring Kuami Eugene, has come under scrutiny following the claim made by the gospel act.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM, Michael Antwi claimed the original version of the song was released in September 2020.

His claim has gained some steam since the young duo released their version some five months after the initial version done by the gospel act.

Speaking about his next line of action, Michael Antei indicated that he intended taking take action for what he claims is an infringement on his original property.

“The Biibi Besi runs through my song and if anyone uses that in another song, it means that my rights to the song have been infringed upon,” Antwi told the radio presenter.

This is not the first time that an artiste has accused Kuami Eugene of ‘stealing’ or sampling songs that have already been made without explicit permission.
