He however said that an issue arose that forced him to stop showing support to artistes from the region.

In recounting the issue, Mr Anane Frimpong said one upcoming musician came to him with a demo and asked him to listen to it and see how best he could help him.

Mr Anane Frimpong went on to add that he brought the demo to Accra and forgot about it only for the artiste to accost him with police and accused him of selling the music and keeping the money.

Mr Anane Frimpong added that he pleaded with the police to give him some time to bring back the demo to the young artiste.

He then said he came back to Accra and went through the hundreds of demos he had received and luckily found the said artiste’s demo.

The veteran music producer said he quickly returned the demo to the artiste who was in the company of his grandmother and he decided to not get involved with any artiste from the area again.

Mr Anane Frimpong however said that the area from which he started was blessed with many musicians and he cited examples as the likes of Nana Amakye Dede, Ofori Amponsah, late Kofi B, Agya Bomofour, Obour, Francis Asimadu.
