Remembering Castro: Today Marks Exactly 7 Years The Singer Disappeared; To Be Declared Dead

Today, July 6, 2021, marks exactly seven years after the disappearance of award-winning musician Theophilus Tagoe known popularly as Castro da Destroyer or Castro Under Fire.

The singer went missing around the Ada Estuary after he went on a jet ski ride with a lady friend of his who was identified as Janet Bandu.

Following news of the singer’s disappearance, the whole country went into a frenzy with people doing all they could to get the singer found.

Search and rescue missions were set up but unfortunately, they all returned with the same news – Castro and Janet are still nowhere to be found.

Seven years after the unfortunate incident, Castro and Janet Bandu can be declared dead as per law, the seventh year after one’s disappearance.

Castro would be remembered for the many hit songs he sang including Sradenam, Toffee, Odo Pa, African Girls, Boneshaker, Back and Front, Do The Dance.

He would fondly be remembered by his family, friends, colleagues and the fans who remain captivated by his vocals and stage prowess.

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has released a diss song for entertainment analyst Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo following their clash on live TV.

The song which is titled Shw3 is a direct jab at Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo after the latter tried to brush off Shatta Wale’s concerns during the show which aired on Saturday.

Shatta Wale threw shots at Arnold and rehashed the fact that he wears cheap shoes which he claimed on the show cost GHC2.50.

The Ayoo hitmaker was heard saying “see face, see shoe” in reference to Arnold after the dancehall star disgraced him on live TV days ago.

In the song Shatta Wale was also heard saying a lot of his critics want to see him fail but he is still standing after all these years of badmouthing him.

It would be recalled that Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo’s responded with “shw3” after Shatta Wale was making his submission and asked for an apology.

Checks made so so far show that Shatta Wale’s new song is almost hitting 20,000 views after it was posted a little over an hour ago.

It would be recalled that Shatta Wale and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo clashed on live TV during the last episode of UTV’s United Showbiz programme.

They were on the show hosted by actress Nana Ama McBrown with Halifax Ansah-Addo and movie maker Kofas.

Ghanaian musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah famed as Shatta Wale, has indicated that Ghanaian musicians must pay attention to the business side of their craft.

While speaking in his much-anticipated State of The Industry Address, Shatta Wale indicated that Ghanaian musicians, must learn and know how to benefit from their musical talent and craft.

The Freedom hitmaker said he has longed campaigned for Ghanaian artistes to see their music talent and craft as a career and as a business entity.

The dancehall artiste went on to add that Ghanaian musicians must learn to invest in and themselves through education which would be followed up by added value to their crafts.

“We should be able to make money from music even when we are no more in the studio”, Shatta Wale added in his speech.

He said this was the only sure way to keep the Ghana music industry alive and loud and give it global attention.

Shatta Wale addressed the nation and focused on Ghana’s music industry following his return from the United States of America.

Evangelist Diana Asamoah Makes Formal Appearance Before Ga Traditional Council To Apologize Over Homowo Statement (Video)

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian local gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, has appeared before the Ga Traditional Council to officially apologize in person over her comments about the Homowo Festival.

In a new video going viral on social media, Evangelist Diana Asamoah was seen seated in front of the prominent chiefs and elders of the Ga Traditional Area and asking for their forgiveness.

The Tetelesta hit singer was accompanied by respected opinion leaders from the Ga Traditional Council, respected clergymen and women, some family members and her producer, Mr Anane Frimpong.

The whole team meeting the Ga monarchs were all singing the same tune as they pleaded on behalf of the gospel singer and asked that she be forgiven.

A relative of the evangelist who happens to be a full-bred Ga man spoke on behalf of Evangelist Diana Asamoah and asked the chiefs and people of the Ga Traditional Area to temper justice with mercy.

According to the family member of the renowned musician, he would not allow his child to speak the words Evangelist Diana Asamoah wrote and said her words were spoken out of ignorance.

After lengthy chats and apologies, Evangelist Diana Asamoah in all humility, went on her knees to plead with the entire Ga Traditional Council to forgive her and take her back as their beloved daughter.

Earlier, she recorded a video in which she apologized to the Ga Traditional Area over her unsavoury comments about the Homowo Festival.

In the said video, she said she did not know her words would cause harm and rightly took them back while apologising to the traditional rulers and the entire Ga populace.

She went on to ask the whole nation to keep supporting her so she can produce more spirit-filled songs to uplift the name of the lord and also push God’s work forward.
