Gyakie Is An Overhyped And Lazy Artiste – DJ Slim Blasts “Forever” Singer In New Video (Watch)

Popular Ghanaian disc jockey and radio presenter, DJ Slim known in real life as Daniel Gyan-Kesse has stated in a video that singer Gyakie is an overhyped or lazy artiste without much talent.

DJ Slim made these comments while speaking on Radio One with a group of industry players and pundits during a radio discussion.

The Radio One presenter indicated that Gyakie, known in real life as Jackline Acheampong, was being lazy and was not really showing her talent for music.

He said: “Gyakie to me is not even a recording artiste or she is just being lazy because all her songs are flat”

According to DJ Slim, there was so much hype around Gyakie and it was overshadowing that of other artistes who are really doing a great job but are not being heard enough.

DJ Slim went on to say that he was not enthused about GYakie’s hit song, Forever but as a radio presenter, he had to play the song on his show for the listening pleasure of his fans who might like the song.

His comments follow a recent show that pitched artistes Gyakie, Amerado and Yaw Tog on the same show where they all had the chance to show off their musical prowess.

DJ Slim indicated that he was happy with Gyakie’s delivery because according to him, the Sor Mi Mu singer had just only one style of singing.

Mark Okraku Mantey Nominated Deputy Minister-Designate For Creative Arts

President of the Creative Arts Agency, Mark Okraku Mantey, has been nominated as the deputy minister-designate for Creative Arts in President Akufo-Addo’s government.

The announcement was made after a list of deputy ministers-designate was released from the presidency and made public.

Mr Okraku Mantey would soon start working as the deputy minister for Creative Arts should he undergo and pass a vetting process.

Up until his nomination, Mark Okraku Mantey has been an active player in the creative arts industry having served on many industry-related boards and panels.

Prior to the announcement, Mark Okraku Mantey was tipped to be appointed after many people recommended him highly for the position.

Following the recommendations, he took to social media to thank all those who expressed confidence in him for the top job.

I Sent A Song To Strongman Three Years Ago; He Has Still Not Worked On His Verse – Rapper Awal ‘Cries’ In Video (Watch)

Young Ghanaian music prodigy Awal Mohammed, known widely as Awal of TV3 Talented Kids fame, has revealed that he sent a project to Strongman Burner in 2018 for a collaboration but the Facts rapper is yet to work on it.

Awal made this known while speaking in an interview celebrated Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix and was sighed on YouTube.

Awal said he met Strongman for the first time at Sarkodie’s house and they managed to become friends and they both agreed to work together on a project.

Awal said weeks after the meeting, he sent a song to Strongman requesting for him to team up with him so they drop a collaboration.

However, the Immortal rapper is yet to get back to Awal and this has made the latter still not got back to him

Awal added that in 2018, Strongman revealed that he was working on his album but assured the latter that he was going to make time to work on their project.

Awal added that he is yet to get any other reason for the long silence and delay that has kept Strongman so busy that he is unable to attend to the project they both agreed to work on years back.

Ghanaian rapper Amerado Burner known in real life as Derrick Sarfo Kantanka has blown many minds with his recent performance during a live TV show.

The Yeete Nsem hitmaker was one of the guests on UTV’s United Showbiz hosted by actress Nana Ama McBrown and he gave a performance of a lifetime.

Amerado, was asked to drop some rap lines during the live TV show and he managed to pack a punch with the help of a live band – something many artistes find hard to do.

During the show, Amerado blessed the mic with his performance and got other panelists on the show standing to their feet and jamming to the rap lines.

Amerado also refixed Gyakie’s Forever song with her and it got other people on the show like A-PLus asking for more from the Twa So crooner.

Nana Ama McBrown at a point also jumped into the ‘refix’ to also get noticed as Gyakie and Amerado did their own things.

Many people have tipped Amerado to be one of the burgeoning rappers to take over the rap industry in a few years to come judging by his dexterity, talent and creativity.

Stonebwoy Beats Yaw Tog’s Record As Song His Featuring Vic Mensa Hits One Million Views On YouTube In Just 24 Hours (Watch)

Ghanaian award-winning dancehall star, Livingstone Etse Satekla famed as Stonebwoy has set a new record on video-sharing site YouTube with his new song, Blessing.

Checks made by frimprinceproductions.co.uk have shown that the Sobolo hitmaker’s song which featured Jay Z’s Roc Nation signee, Vic Mensa, hit 1 million views on YouTube in just under 24 hours.

THis achievement therefore smashes  Yaw Tog’s impressive performance pf hitting 1 million views on YouTube in 3 days with his “Sore” remix which featured UK’s Stormzy and Ghana’s very own Kwesi Arthur.

Stonebwoy released “Blessing” on April 16, 2021, and as at the time of filing this report, the song had surpassed 1.5 million views on YouTube.
