A music enthusiast and content creator, Prince Opoku has claimed that there were many quality albums that were produced in Ghana which deserved Grammy recognition.
The music enthusiast took to Facebook to lament how Ghanaians prefer ‘trashy’ music to quality sound and well-thought-out lyrics.
According to Prince Opoku, many artistes in Ghana did so well and could have seen their songs entering the Grammys but many Ghanaians would rather hype ‘noise’.
Prince Opoku had a number of albums and artistes he considered had done so well in the year under review and could do well with a little push.

He cited the examples of Samini’s Untamed Album, Akwaboah’s Matters Of The Heart Album and Worlasi’s The Man And The God Album as perfect Grammy candidates.
His post on Facebook read: “It could have been Matters of the Heart by Akwaboah Music Untamed by SAMINI The man and the God by Worlasi But the Ghanaian audience will not allow, they will choose noise makers over quality sound Let me come and be going”.
Many social media users agreed to this assertion but unfortunately, these albums did not receive as much push as possible to ensure that the crossed Ghana’s borders.
There has been a lot of discussions and commentary about Ghanaian artistes, their songs and their branding following the recent Grammy Awards.
